Multi-award winning dispute resolution, credit control and litigation funding specialist Escalate has been shortlisted in two categories at the British Credit Awards.
The award judges have named Escalate as a finalist in the ‘Legal Provider of the Year’ category and for the ‘Supplier of the Year Award’.
In addition, Escalate partner firm Athena Collections has been nominated for the ‘Debt Collection Agency of the Year Award’.
With its client-focused process and distinctive partnership approach, Escalate is helping debt collection agencies to unlock their clients’ cashflows in a way that was not previously possible.
The British Credit Awards, which are run by the Chartered Institute of Credit Management, recognise the stand-out achievements of the most deserving individuals, teams and organisations in the international credit industry. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in London on 24 March.
Stephen Rose, Head of DCA partnerships at Escalate, said: “This is a fantastic way for us and our partner firms to start the new year. We launched Escalate into the late payment and bad debt arena about 18 months ago and have already made a significant impact – it means a lot that our achievements have been recognised by our peers and the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.
“We created Escalate in order to help SMEs get access to justice in a system that was previously stacked against them. Our unique process removes the hassle and financial risk for the end client, while considerably strengthening its bargaining position and increasing its chances of a successful recovery.
“Unlike many traditional legal providers, we don’t have to give up when a matter becomes contested or the debtor starts to dig its heels in. In this way, we enable our partner debt collection agencies to support their clients with larger and more complex cases on which they may not previously have been able to achieve a resolution. This is helping us to transform the cost-benefit equation that SMEs undertake when deciding whether to pursue a bad debt, encouraging them to tackle the issue rather than reluctantly write-off what they’re owed – and this is why we’ve been shortlisted for these prestigious awards.”
