Escalate, the commercial dispute and bad debt resolution service for SMEs, has been named the winner in the ‘NextGen Banking, Finance, & Business Services’ category at the inaugural Management Today Next Gen Awards.
The Awards, which are organised by leading business magazine Management Today, seek to ‘to shine a spotlight on the next generation of ground-breaking, high-growth businesses’ in all of the main sectors of the economy across the UK.
Chris Clay, Managing Director and Founding Partner of Escalate, says: “The Next Gen Awards were conceived well before the current coronavirus crisis, and our win is recognition of Escalate’s important role in helping SMEs to unlock tens of millions of pounds in cash from their balance sheets over the past few years.
“That role is all the more important right now as small and mid-sized businesses across the country face a serious cash squeeze and focus on survival.
“Our message is very straightforward: if your business suffers a financial loss because of a dispute, bad debt or late payment, don’t simply write it off, and don’t automatically assume that the costs of recovery outweigh the benefits. We’re here to help you get your money back.
“This award is a testament to our staff and our Escalate partner firms across the UK who share our vision of supporting the UK SME community; we would like to thank them for their support in helping us achieve so much together since we launched three years ago”.
Management Today’s Next Gen Award is the latest prestigious award won by Escalate, following ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the British Accountancy Awards, ‘Best Collaboration Initiative’ at the Lawyer Awards, ‘Excellence in Business Development’ at the Law Society Excellence Awards, the ‘Legal Services Innovation Award’ at The British Legal Awards and ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the Modern Law Awards. Escalate was also shortlisted for ‘New Business of the Year’ at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, marking it out as one of the top ten most promising scale-up businesses in the country and one to watch.
